this new blog with a section of Route 2 years ago I did a pretty good friends. It was a simple route and not too winery, about 15 miles. From the village of my friend, early and with food in the backpack we address to the nearby mountains.

We start from the village of Montejo de Bricia (Burgos) and quickly climbed up to 1100 meters elevation from there by forest tracks we approached the area where the windmills.
After a few minutes to observe the stunning views and take back the mountain road towards the forest, although it was a wonderful day of May, feel some wind was cold outside the forest cover.
We reached the height of the road was closed for a few fences, and we went down to an old abandoned village, where we met a farmer in the area who had cattle in the area.
As hunger and tight and the place was conducive to rest we decided to eat after a meat sandwich and a good piece of chocolate began the march back to the county road.
The curvy road offering beautiful views of the valleys separating Burgos Cantabria. We spent the nearly deserted town of Allen del Hoyo, which is a great source of fresh water.
quickly we could see our destination, Montejo, a rare sight. The town stands on a hill making it visible from long distances and its bell tower is a landmark.
